I am going to SAN ANTONIO SEA WORLD in July any advice?
November 14, 2008 – 7:19 pmany advise of any cheap discounts hotels or coupons
or any cool sites to visit
First you have to have a place to stay. I would recommend staying at Motel 6 between Marbach Road and Hwy 90. It is $43.00 that is like $215 plus for 5 days. This is with in a very short distance to Sea World and about 15 minutes to down town San Antonio. Within a very sort distance almost walking distance there is a a Coyote Canyon, The usual McDonald's, Berger King, Taco Bell, etc.. If you are here over the 4th Lackland AFB will have a fireworks display as fine as any in the city and it is free Gates open to the general public at 3:00 pm and goes until after dark lots of fun things to do there at no cost this is pretty reasonable. The Zoo down town is also very reasonable, There is going to the Alamo and the Missions trail, We have a farm club base ball and a really nice stadium, the most expensive ticket to get in there is like $9.00 per person. I like their playing better because they seem to try harder I think that their games are great. There is the museums, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Texas Cultural center, botanical gardens. Have fun and come on back remember that San Antonio can be a home away from home. I just realized I didn't tell you that Sea World to the motel is about 3 miles and very easy to find just go north on I-410 to Hwy 151 and go west on it follow the signs.

Stay away from the Super 8 motel at Lackland AF base. They are so damn expensive. Depending on what you consider expensive, I would recommend staying at any affordable hotel. Sea world is an all day event so plan accordingly. There are lots of places to eat, right off of highway 151 before you get to loop 1604, ther is Rudy's BBQ, and then there are several Bill Millers BBQ on 1604. That resaurant is the pride and joy of cheap, but good BBQ in San Antonio.

I have tons of advice.
1. if you're not registered with triprewards.com or another hotel discount card, do so before you book your hotel. For every couple stays at hotels earns you a free nights stay! Very worth it! 2. Call your credit card companies! Cards like American express state that if you use their card to eat out or pay for tickets you can get $20 back! A definite savings only if you pay your bills on time and don't get charge a late fee!
3. Check your local grocery store. They usually have tickets at a discount and you can buy them right there, then you won't have to wait in line.
4. Texas is HOT! So be sure to back sun block and many people forget to protect their lips. If you have kids you can take them out and have each pick out their own and have them carry it with them while at the park.
5. Sea World is WET! So make sure you take plenty of socks or wear the right shoes! It's not very good driving home with blisters on your feet.
6. Wake up early! The morning you plan to go to the park make sure you leave early, it might be bothersome for the kids, but you'll get to ride more rides with no lines!
7. Pack a picnic, if you want to save money…. pack cans of tuna, crackers, carrots or chips! Or this could be a snack.
GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN & STAY SAFE!

Buy the two day passes instead of the one day pass. You can check out the park one-day and then enjoy the water park the next day.
